Annual SPCG Picnic, Sunday, June 13, 1999
Once again Rich (N3NSN) did an excellent job coordinating the food and supplies necessary for our annual picnic at Lake Redmnond. Unfortunately, we had a slight coordination problem at Lake Redmond -- we told them the wrong date!! However, being experienced emergency communicators, we were able to locate a pavillion at the park behind the firehouse in Shrewsbury and get the word out to everyone that we had relocated. We actually had one of our largest crowds!!! The weather did not cooperate; we had a downpour during the event Overall, well over 30 people attended -- and had a great time.
